Newquay Activity Centre's Family Surf Lessons offer a private group experience and we welcome children from the age of 3 years and upwards. 

The Family Surf Lessons are memorable, exhilarating, safe and fun for kids of all ages. Not only are they a sure way to get the kids off their mobile phones, they are comparatively low cost compared to other family outings in the South West.

What is a family surf session like?

At the Newquay Activity Centre’s Cornwall Surfing School, the team offer two-hour private surfing lessons designed specifically just for you and your family.

Here you will learn the fundamentals of surfing, ocean awareness, beach safety, surfing equipment and surfing terminology. The team provide the perfect balance of fun, education and safety.

What’s more, imagine how cool you’ll become when your children return to school with tall tales of surfing adventures!

The team will teach you how to catch your first wave, how to stand up and how to ride white water breakers right to the beach.

The team of highly experienced and Surf England qualified instructors offer supervision and guidance throughout your lessons, so you learn quickly and safely in your own time.
