Please meet for your tour at 07:15am. The coach will depart at 07:30am sharp.

Food is readily available at the multiple stops on tour, but you are absolutely more than welcome to bring drinks, snacks and a cold packed lunch on board. Most passengers will have lunch in Portree.

Some roads are less accessible during the winter period, as Scotland can get both quite rainy, cold and even snowy on occasion. While you will keep to the planned route when possible, you driver/guide may make the decision to use other routes to ensure safety as well as your enjoyment!

  • Kessock Bridge, Achnasheen and Loch Carron: As this road used for these stops is not always kept clear during the winter, we may at times drive a different route due to safety concerns.
  • Old Man of Storr: Visibility can be impacted by clouds and mist, as we stop by the road and do not have enough time to allow walks to get closer.
  • Quiraing: The road to the viewpoint is not always accessible due to cold weather and possible snow on the road during the winter.

You are more than welcome to bring along a carry-on bag on the tour which can be packed with essentials for the day, but we would advise keeping this bag as light and small as possible to maximise your comfort onboard. If you’d like to bring along larger luggage, please get in touch to confirm availability.

It doesn’t matter when you are travelling, the weather in Scotland can be incredibly unpredictable and sometimes you can even experience several seasons in one day!

As a result of this, we would always encourage our passengers to wear waterproof shoes and clothing, ensuring they have several removable layers. You are more than welcome to leave jackets/jumpers on the coach during stops if you find that the weather is nice when you are due to get off.

We must remind you that while picturesque and quaint, many of the suppliers in smaller towns do still prefer cash payments. ATM’s are located at multiple stops along the route, and currency exchange services are available in Inverness.

While there are no planned hikes or longer walks during the tour, we encourage wearing comfortable and flat footwear.

You will be travelling on a luxurious, modern, air-conditioned coach throughout your journey. The coach has capacity for 37 passengers.

The coach will depart from Inverness Cathedral at 07:30am sharp. Please arrive at the coach by 07:15am.

The coach has space for a foldable wheelchair, but the coach itself is not wheelchair accessible.

Please note that this day tour joins a middle portion of a longer 3-day tour. This 1-day tour to Isle of Skye only partakes in the second day of the 3-day tour.

The tour is suitable for those over the ages of 7+
