What else is on at The Hairy Coo Tours?

Explore the scenery of the Scottish Highlands while visiting Glencoe, Forth William and the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct

On your 1-day tour to Glenfinnan, Glencoe and the Highlands, you'll head north to explore some of the most recognisable views of the Scottish Highlands. Experience the iconic Glenfinnan Viaduct and catch the magical sight of the 'Jacobite Steam Train' travelling across the bridge.

Perfect for those with a busy schedule, this one-day tour takes you to many of highlights of the Scottish Highlands, including beautiful Glencoe, the impressive Commando Memorial and the town of Fort William, nestled beneath Britain's highest peak, Ben Nevis.

On your way back you will stop at the Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge, before travelling south back towards Edinburgh via Scotland's second national park (Cairngorms) before a pit-stop at Queen Victoria’s favourite village Pitlochry, famous for its yummy whisky ice cream! The tour will conclude back in Edinburgh around 07:00pm.

Please meet for your tour when check-in opens at 06:45am. The bus departs at 07:00am.

Seats are unreserved, so we recommend that you arrive early if you have a preference of where you would like to sit.

The tour is unable to wait for guests who are late and no refunds will be issued in this instance.

Food is readily available at the majority of stops on tour, but you are absolutely more than welcome to bring snacks and a cold packed lunch on board. There are often alternatives suitable to most diets, but options may be limited.

You are more than welcome to bring along a carry-on bag on the tour which can be packed with essentials for the day, but we would advise keeping this bag as light and small as possible to maximise your comfort onboard. If you’d like to bring along larger luggage, please get in touch to confirm availability.

It doesn’t matter when you are travelling, the weather in Scotland can be incredibly unpredictable and sometimes you can even experience several seasons in one day!

As a result of this, we would always encourage our passengers to wear waterproof shoes and clothing, ensuring they have several removable layers. You are more than welcome to leave jackets/jumpers on the coach during stops if you find that the weather is nice when you are due to get off.

We ask that tickets to the optional extras available are paid in cash. We must also remind you that while picturesque and quaint, many of the suppliers in smaller towns do still prefer cash payments.

You will be travelling on a luxurious, modern, air-conditioned coach throughout your journey. The coach has capacity for 37 passengers.

The coach has space for a foldable wheelchair, but the coach itself is not wheelchair accessible.

The tour is suitable for those over the ages of 7+

The Hairy Coo tours do their best to make it in time to see the Jacobite Steam Train (or the Hogwarts Express) crossing the Viaduct on it’s outbound afternoon service during the summer season.

Please note that the the train runs seasonally, with the afternoon service scheduled to depart seven days a week from early May to the late September.

Hairy Coo Tours always aim to stop for a visit of the local, beloved Hairy Coos on their tours! However, the sighting of Highland cattle can not be guaranteed. Please note that in the winter months (Mid November – March) some farmers decide to move the cows indoors or to another field for the winter.
