Things to do in Leeds:
There’s a stately feel to Go Ape Temple Newsam, despite being situated just four miles from the centre of Leeds. Based in estate grounds with a 500-year-old country mansion and beautiful woodlands, you’ll feel like Lord and Lady.
One of the many brilliant things about this course is that no matter how challenging the obstacles are, the permanent belay is quietly reassuring. So, once you’re hooked on, that’s it for the duration. All you need to do is concentrate on is having fun!
When you’re done, slip the harness off and head over to the Manor House, a truly impressive Tudor-Jacobean mansion described as one of the best stately homes in Britain.
The famous ‘Capability’ Brown designed the concept for the grassland, woodlands, views and vistas.
Sit back and enjoy a picnic in the lakeside garden or the Georgian walled garden. Alternatively, head over to the Tea Rooms for a bite to eat. And if you’re partial to a bit of shopping, there’s also a gift shop!
Temple Newsam is also home to an award-winning rare breed conservation farm which is one of the best-loved family attractions in Leeds.
