Join Newcastle Castle to watch Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King Extended Edition (2003) and take a trip to Isengard in the beautiful Great Hall. 

Directed by Peter Jackson and featuring an all-star cast including Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen and Orlando Bloom, The Return of the King explores the final chapter of the fantastical trilogy. 

Continuing the plot from The Two Towers, Frodo, Sam and Gollum tackle their final journey towards Mount Doom in order to destroy the One Ring. Completely unaware of Gollum's intentions, Merry, Pippin, Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli and more join forces together to reign victorious over Sauron and his legions in Minas Tirith.

The film will take place in the Great Hall of the Castle Keep. Unfortunately, this venue has no disabled access due to the historic nature of the building. Doors will open at approximately 6pm, with the film starting at 6.30pm. We cannot guarantee entry after the film has started to avoid disruption.
