From the religious practices of elephants to the intelligence of crows, medieval books have many fascinating things to say about animal minds and worlds. This talk will explore the beautiful medieval stories and images that portray animal community, friendship and rivalry.
Luke Connell is professor of medieval studies and a stand-up comedian. He is a regular panellist on Nerds Just Wanna Have at the Stand Comedy Club in Newcastle, and will soon be touring a comedy show about the Middle Ages.
