Initially housed in an old Victorian flower market in Covent Garden, the museum opened it's doors to the public in 1980. Dedicated to the history of public transportation in London, the London Transport Museum showcases the development of London's transport system over the centuries!

One of the best museums in London
Over the years, the Transport for London museum has expanded its collection, having several renovations and redevelopments to enhance its exhibitions and visitor experience.
In 2005, the museum created a new, modern space with interactive displays, exhibitions and educational programs - it continues to acquire new artefacts, documents, photographs, memorabilia and display pieces related to London's transportation history!

You are welcome to spend as long or as little as you'd like at London's Transport Museum, but with so many fascinating exhibits and activities, you can easily spend at least two hours there.
If you're only visiting the shop, you don't need to pay the standard Museum admission fee. The shop spans two floors.
The museum is suitable for all ages, but children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult (18+)
