There's plenty of things to do in Buxton to make a full day of your visit to Go Ape. The surrounding Peak District National Park is full of incredible sights waiting to be discovered on your day out in Buxton.
Explore the area on foot on one of the many walks around the park, including Mam Tor and the Great Ridge Walk for some of the best views in all the Peak District. For views across the town, climb to the top of Grin Low to find the Victorian folly built on a Bronze Age barrow, Solomon's Temple. Be sure not to miss Poole's Cavern, one of the best show caves to visit in the country.
After your day out at Go Ape and the surrounding Peak District, head to Buxton and check out the famous ornamental gardens with both Georgian and Victorian architecture.

How to find us
By car:
Once you reach Buxton, follow the brown signs to Poole's Cavern.
Please note that parking charges are as follows: cars, minibuses & coaches: £2 for 4 hours or £4 for the day.

By train:
The train line finishes at Buxton and starts at Manchester Piccadilly. The course is approximately 30 minutes walk from the Buxton train station. Alternatively you can arrange a taxi to take you to the course or hop on your bike.
By bus:
Trent Barton Buses and Bower Buses run services in and around Buxton.
Several different buses are operating in the local area and surrounding towns/villages but direct buses can also be taken from Manchester, Derby, Nottingham and Sheffield. The course is approximately an 18 minute walk from the marketplace where the majority of buses terminate.

Footwear must be sturdy and suitable for the outdoors. No sandals, slip off shoes, open toes or heels.
Wear sensible clothes for adventure and please ensure your midriff is covered.
Gloves are a good idea. Either bring a pair or you can buy them at the cabin on the day.
Go Ape is an excellent wet weather activity! The course remains open in all weathers, except when it is icy, stormy, in high winds or during lightning.
Rain makes the course muddier than usual – which all adds to the fun! Don’t forget to dress for the weather. Sometimes, unfortunately, Go Ape might need to close the course for reasons beyond our control, if this happens you will be given a full refund.
Please ensure you arrive for your Go Ape activity 15 minutes before your session begins.
