How to find us
By car:
Bedgebury Forest is signposted off the A21 on the B2079 (Lady Oak Lane), approximately 12 miles southeast of Tunbridge Wells and 16 miles northwest of Hastings. When approaching the B2079 (Lady Oak Lane), please follow the Brown signs for Bedgebury Pinetum & Forest. If you are coming from Goudhurst along the B2079 (Lady Oak Lane), please follow the Forestry England signage for Go Ape.
Please be aware that the postcode covers a vast area and sometimes sends visitors to the wrong location. We recommend that you use What3Words: dove.flags.speeded as it is more precise.
Go Ape is tucked away up a hill - keep your eyes peeled for signs. Please note that you'll need to pay an admission fee per car at Bedgebury Forest.
By train:
Etchingham (on the Hastings line from Charing Cross or London Bridge) is the closest station to Bedgebury. It is about a 45 minute cycle ride up the A21 (there is a footpath along the edge of the northbound carriageway).
By bus:
The nearest bus stop is Flimwell Corner Farm (near the Flimwell crossroad).

You should wear something that you don’t mind getting grubby. Dress for the weather so bring along a mac if it’s raining!
You need to make sure you have the correct footwear with closed toe and heel (with flat soles), no sandals or slip-off shoes.
Your stomach area will need to be covered and long hair must be tied back.
You can join the Treetop Challenge at Go Ape Bedgebury if you're:
- Minimum age: 10 years old
- Minimum height: 1.4m
- Maximum weight: 130kg
Please note: Adults must supervise children between the ages of 10-15.
- Under 13: One participating adult can supervise four children aged 12 and under.
- 13-15 Years Old: One adult can supervise up to eight children aged 13-15 years while on the course or on the ground.
Go Ape is an excellent wet weather activity! The course remains open in all weathers, except when it is icy, stormy, in high winds or during lightning. Rain makes the course muddier than usual – which all adds to the fun! Don’t forget to dress for the weather.
Sometimes, unfortunately, course may need to be closed for reasons beyond Go Ape's control, if this happens you will be given a full refund.
