By Car:
Alton Towers Resort is located between the M1 and the M6 motorways in Staffordshire, England.
Depending on your direction, the nearest motorway exits are:
- M1 Northbound – Junction 23a
- M1 Southbound – Junction 28
- M6 Northbound – Junction 15
- M6 Southbound – Junction 16
Please drive carefully in the area, as roads can be narrow, and there are pedestrians, cyclists, and horse riders.
Some Sat-Nav systems may take you down a local farm track, so follow road signs for the last few miles.
By Train:
- Uttoxeter Train Station is the nearest station to Alton Towers (10 miles away).
- Stoke-on-Trent Station (15 miles away) and Derby Train Station (25 miles away) are also options.
From these stations, you can take a taxi or bus to the resort.
By Bus:
- D&G Bus operates the X41 service from Stafford, Uttoxeter, and Alton Towers Resort.
- Notts & Derby buses run the X52 service between Nottingham, Derby, and Alton Towers.
