Returning to the heart of North Yorkshire for 2024, Whitby Steam Fair guarantees to be a fantastic family day out! From trade stands to working displays, funfair rides to children's entertainment and delicious food and drink to spectacular live music, there's something for all ages at this year's Traction Engine Rally:

  • Traction Engines: Enjoy a wide range of traction engines on display, with some dating back as far as the 1800s!
  • Tractor Pulling: Get front seats to the sport that has been deemed 'one of the world's most powerful motorsports'!
  • Fairground Organs: See mechanical organs, fairground organs, dance organs and street organs up-close.
  • Scarborough Fair Collection & Stage Show: See a unique collection of exhibits that has become famous throughout the world.
  • Ridgeside Falconry: One of the largest mobile display teams in the country, see beautiful birds of prey performing spectacular demonstrations.
  • Little Nippers Lurcher & Terrier Show: See the furry friends demonstrate their natural hunting abilities as they race through the grounds and tackle obstacles!
  • Classic Car Display: See vintage and classic cars made from the early 1900s to the 70s and catch the daily parade throughout the arena!
  • Vintage Motorcycles: Witness an impressive line-up of veteran, vintage and classic motorcycles by popular manufacturers BSA, Triumph, Honda and more.
  • Vintage Tractor Display: Secure your spot for the daily tractor parade as you see vintage and classic tractors - ideal for enthusiasts!
  • Stationary Engines: Originally used to drive immobile machinery, now's your chance to see a variety of engines used for pumps, generators, mills and more.
  • Working Displays: See rack saw, drag saw, flour mill and thrashing demonstrations alongside chainsaw carving, where works are created from a single piece of wood!
  • Miniature Steam Traction Engines: Get up-close to an array of engines, some built from scratch and some built from kits.
