Sweeney's Cruises is one of the longest running family businesses in Scotland and has been operating boats on Loch Lomond since the 1880's, so don't you worry if there's anyone who knows every inch of the Loch's 23 miles and all the varied wildlife, wealth of history, legend and folklore it's Sweeney's Cruises!

When Sweeney's Cruises first started, the company ran on steam launches and rowing boats. It's no quite the same as it used to be today. Currently managed by John Sweeney who is the forth generation of the family to work on Loch Lomond, with the help of his wife Catherine and three sons. Sweeney Cruises now operate the most luxurious fleet of passenger boats in Scotland.

There are 4 main cruises that all offer something a bit different at Sweeney's Cruises, whether you want to learn about and see the islands of Loch Lomond or if you want a relaxing evening while you watch the sunset, there's a cruise for you!

  • Island Discovery - Discover the legends and secrets of the islands of Loch Lomond, known as the jewels in her crown.
  • Evening Cruise - There is perhaps no sight more spectacular than the sun setting over Loch Lomond.
  • Into the Highlands - Enhance your shopping experience at Loch Lomond Visitor Centre with a short cruise taking in all the major points of interest at the southern end of Loch Lomond.
  • Osprey Cruise - Join the Luss to Balmaha waterbus service and stay on board for a one hour circular cruise between the middle islands of Loch Lomond.

For all you boat lovers, there are a 4 Ships all together in Sweeney's fleet. These include the Silver Dolphin, Silver Marlin, Osprey and Astina (Astina is recommended for any wheelchair users)
