Take your sailing skills to the next level at the Real Outdoor Xperience
Enhance your sailing skills and boost your confidence on this course, where you'll learn to sail upwind and downwind, as well as master tacking and gybing.
Over two consecutive days in a friendly atmosphere, you'll receive full instruction in small groups from a qualified RYA Sailing Instructor.
Completing this course can lead to the RYA Stage 2 Award, suitable for ages 8-15. Pre-course requirement: RYA Stage 1.
All necessary equipment, including wetsuits and safety gear, is provided. Start times are from 10:00 to 16:30. Please remember to bring a packed lunch.

By car
Via the M5: Exit at junction 11a onto the A417 and A419 towards Cirencester.
Via the M4: Exit at junction 15 onto the A419 towards Cirencester. Once on the A419: 4 miles south of Cirencester turn onto the Spine Road towards South Cerney.
There is ample free parking at South Cerney Outdoor
By rail
The nearest railway station is at Kemble which is on the main line to London (Paddington). This is just over 7 miles away from South Cerney outdoor via Spine Road (B4696). There is a regular bus service (881) from Kemble.

The Lodge is open from 09:00am to 17:00pm on Fridays to Mondays, and from 09:00am to 20:00pm on Tuesdays to Thursdays.
You may only be able to bring your own canoe or paddleboard with a Launch Membership. Day Launch options are not currently available.
No, the Real Outdoor Experience does not permit anyone on site who is not directly participating in the activity.
Dogs are more than welcome at the Real Outdoor Experience, please make sure you clean up after them. Remember to buy them a Puppucino from The Lodge afterwards!
