Sondheim Theatre

Book now

Originally The Queen's Theatre, the Sondheim Theatre is a popular and stunning venue on Shaftesbury Avenue in London's West End.

Cameron Mackintosh declared in 2019 that the original Les Misérables production would end on 13th July as the theatre required a thorough restoration. The venue then received its new name in honour of lyricist and composer Stephen Sondheim.

As many of us know, Sondheim sadly passed away in 2021, making this tribute that much more poignant.

Les Misérables has now returned to the Sondheim Theatre with a new modernised production that has taken the world by storm and has been hailed “Les Mis for the 21st Century” (Huffington Post), “a reborn dream of a production” (Daily Telegraph) and “perfect theatre in a perfect theatre” (Sunday Telegraph).
