Novello Theatre
Based on Aldwych, this West End theatre has a history just waiting to be told.
A little fun fact for you - if you're in to this sort of thing - the Novello Theatre was built as one of a pair with the Aldwych theatre on either side of the Waldorf Hotel, both designed by the same person.
Since its construction, the venue has been renamed a couple times. Opening as the Waldorf Theatre in 1905, renamed the Strand theatre 1909, again as the Whitney Theatre in 1911 before returning to the Strand Theatre in 1913, it wasn't until 2005 that this grand place was given the name of the Novello Theatre.
With a capacity of around 1,050 the theatre can seat many visitors just like you, and has hosted a hefty number of performances ranging from classic musicals such as 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum' as well as modern treats like Mamma Mia! which is playing there now.
Book your seats and get ready for a night that will have you wanting to dance all the way home. If you don't take a chance on this show, don't go sending us an SOS.
