Goblins, boils and ghouls aged 7+, welcome to one of the best activity-driven, after-hours Halloween events for children - get ready to face the horrors of Halloween in the heart of Newcastle:

  • Gruesome Guided Tour: Enjoy a guided tour around the atmospheric Castle Keep
  • Spooky Stories: Hear stories and secrets from the Castle's past
  • Awesome Activities: Take part in a range of Halloween-themed activities
  • Poisonous Potions: Pluck up the courage to meet the witch and brew a potion!
  • Creepy Creatures: Face the terrifyingly gigantic dragon that has made the Great Hall its lair
  • Dastardly Dungeons: Are you brave enough to enter the executioners dungeon?

  • Meeting Point: Outside Castle Keep, opposite The Bridge Hotel 
  • Please wear suitable footwear and bring a coat as the Castle Keep will be cold during the evening.
  • Please note: The venue does not have toilets. The closest toilets are in The Bridge Hotel.

The Black Gate is fully accessible with an external lift. 

The Castle Keep is a Scheduled Ancient Monument with several upper storeys which unfortunately are not accessible to wheelchair users. 

Unfortunately, there is no parking available onsite. 

However, the nearest car parks are within a 10 minute walk. 

Only service dogs are allowed in the Keep, but please be aware that the steps are very steep and uneven.
