How To Find Us

By Car:

If you’re driving from the South, exit the M74 at junction 4 and follow signs for Glasgow City center (M8). Travel up the M8, take junction 30 for the Erskine Bridge, and join the A82 to Dumbarton and Loch Lomond.

At Tarbet, near the head of picturesque Loch Lomond, bear left onto the A83 signposted for Inveraray.

By Bus:

Scottish Citylink provides a regular bus service from Glasgow City Center to Inveraray. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Inveraray Castle welcome dogs to join you on a walk around the estate and woodland walks, but there are some areas where they are not permitted. Please familiarize yourself with these areas before your visit:

Dogs are welcome: on the estate, woodland walks, and the castle fosse including the Tearoom when kept on a lead.

Dogs are not permitted: inside the castle, formal gardens, or Gift Shop. This is with the exception of assistance dogs.

Unfortunately, the tour of the castle includes three floors and it is not possible to avoid stairs. Access to the basement level and the first floor, have a video tour that you can view.
