There are five different activities for you to experience. Discover some of the adventure options available:
- Treetop Challenge: Experience canopy-high tree-to-tree crossings, freefall Tarzan swings and exhilarating zip wires. Suitable for anyone over 1.4m tall and aged at least 10 years old.
- Treetop Adventure: The first ever Scottish Treetop Adventure, this high rope experience is fun for the entire family. Suitable for anyone over 1m tall and aged between 4-6 years old.
- Treetop Adventure Plus: Higher above the ground with extra wobble, you’ll have to master tricky crossings before soaring down zip wires over the River Esk. Suitable for anyone over 1.2m tall and aged between 6-10 years old.
- Stumped: Solve ten fiendishly clever puzzles across the park as you crack the codes to conquer the challenge. Suitable for anyone over 8 years old.
- Archery Tag: Players use bows and foam-tipped arrows to tag opponents and eliminate them from the game. Suitable for anyone over 8 years old.

How To Find Us
By Car:
Head southeast on A7 towards Dalkeith, follow signs for Dalkeith Country Park. Enter the park from the King's Gate entrance, located just off the A6094, or from the Edinburgh Bypass (A720):
Take the exit for the A68 towards Jedburgh/Dalkeith, follow the signs for Dalkeith. Turn right onto the A6094 (Dalkeith Country Park is signposted). Enter through the King's Gate entrance. There is ample parking available in the park, and from the parking area, follow the signs to Go Ape.
By Bus:
There are several bus routes connect Edinburgh to Dalkeith. Lothian Buses services 3, 33, and 49 go to Dalkeith. Once in Dalkeith, it's a short walk or taxi ride to the park.
By Train:
Take a train from Edinburgh Waverley to Eskbank Station. Next, from Eskbank Station, it's a short taxi ride or a 20-minute walk to Dalkeith Country Park.

Footwear must be sturdy and suitable for the outdoors. No sandals, slip off shoes, open toes or heels.
Wear sensible clothes for adventure and please ensure your midriff is covered.
Gloves are a good idea. Either bring a pair or you can buy them at the cabin on the day.
Go Ape is an excellent wet weather activity! The course remains open in all weathers, except when it is icy, stormy, in high winds or during lightning.
Rain makes the course muddier than usual – which all adds to the fun! Don’t forget to dress for the weather. Sometimes, unfortunately, Go Ape might need to close the course for reasons beyond our control, if this happens you will be given a full refund.
Please ensure you arrive for your Go Ape activity 15 minutes before your session begins.

All courses are designed to be accessible, but they do offer a degree of physical and mental challenge. This may mean additional equipment or adjustments to supervision.
