View masterpieces from the Royal Collection

Take the opportunity to visit the beautiful Queen's Gallery at the Palace of Holyroodhouse. 

A self-guided multimedia tour lasting around an hour will take you through the various exhibitions. Admire some magnificent pieces of art from the Royal Collection on display in Scotland for the first time.

Follow your self-guided audio tour past the many pieces of art. From 25 March to 25 September 2022, you can enjoy the temporary exhibition 'Masterpieces from Buckingham Palace'. See some of the greatest masterpieces from the Royal Collection. Admire artworks by Rembrandt, Van Dyck, Rubens, and Artemisia Gentileschi.

The historical building of the gallery dates back to the 1840s. Then, it was the Holyrood Free Church and Duchess of Gordon's school. Her Majesty The Queen opened the gallery as it is today in 2002 as part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations.

The Palace of Holyroodhouse stands at the end of Edinburgh's famous Royal Mile.
