Join in at Colchester’s beautiful Castle Park for another year of the Food & Drink Festival. There will be lots of old favourites, classics, and this year they have some new and exciting stalls and products to tempt you!

This awesome extravaganza, which is free for under 14s, will feature a range of stalls selling everything from mouth-watering bites to eat and thirst-quenching beverages.

  • The Pikestaff Inn real ale bar will feature lots of amazing different ciders and good cold lager!

The best bites in Colchester

The all-day occasion, which guests very much still have an appetite for 18 years on, will also play host to the Pikestaff Inn real ale bar, offering ciders and lagers!

Featuring lots of different stalls with local and international food and drink. There will be so much to see and try. Why not pick up food and drink to take home?

The Pikestaff Inn real ale bar will also feature lots of different ciders and good cold lager. You can take a four pint ‘growler’ of our wonderful ales to drink onsite or take home!

How To Find Us

By Car:

The quickest route involves taking the M4 and M25 highways, covering a distance of approximately 221.6 miles. The estimated travel time is around 4 hours and 10 minutes
Alternatively, you can take the A14 and M11 route, which is slightly longer at 258.5 miles and takes approximately 4 hours and 13 minutes
Another option is via the A40, which spans about 219.5 miles and takes around 4 hours and 6 minutes

By Train:

If you prefer public transport, you can take a Greater Anglia train. The journey duration varies depending on your starting point:From Romford, it takes approximately 86 minutes.
From Northfleet, the journey lasts about 144 minutes.
From Departure Lounge (Stansted), it’s around 144 minutes

On Foot:

For a leisurely stroll, you can retrace your steps up Queen Street, head to the War Memorial, and cross into Upper Castle Park. From there, follow any of the paths downhill behind the castle through the park gardens until you reach Lower Castle Park at the bottom
