Following on from previous successful years, the Cheshire Steam Fair is returning to the grounds of Daresbury, with more refreshments, activities and experiences suitable for the whole family!

  • Jez Avery's Stunt Show: With exciting new tricks and stunts for 2024! Jez will provide an action-packed show featuring four different types of vehicles!
  • Ken Fox Wall of Death: You won't be disappointed when this experienced showman takes to the stage with the incredible Wall of Death.
  • Traction Engines: There will be various types of engines on display, some of which were created in the 1800s!
  • Tractor Pulling: Pullers drag a metal sled along Daresbury's track as you watch what is regarded as 'the world's most powerful motorsport' live!
  • Owl Adventures: See incredible flying shows and static displays featuring majestic birds of prey that will entertain, stimulate and encourage audience participation
  • Children's Sand Art Workshops: A fun and exciting activity for children and adults, Sand Art is an experience, not a product - get hands-on with colourful sand and see what you can create
  • Fairground Organs: See various mechanical organs, from fairground to circus organs and dance to street organs, all with their own unique features
  • Classic Car Display: See vintage and classic cars made from the early 1900s to the 1970s, with Wolseley, Rover, Morris, Jaguar, Austin, Buick, Chevrolet and more parading around the main arena
  • Vintage Motorcycles: Enjoy an impressive line-up of veteran, vintage and classic motorcycles made by famous manufacturers BSA, Triumph, Matchless, Honda and more
  • Vintage Tractor Display: See magnificent classic and vintage tractors as they take part in a parade around the main arena, and a static display for those who want to get closer
  • Stationary Engines: Used to drive immobile machinery such as pumps, generators, mills and more, a variety of engines will be on display - some made as early as 1900!
  • Working Displays: See demonstrations using a rack saw bench, drag saw, flour mill and threshing set alongside chainsaw carving - a very delicate and impressive craft!
  • Miniature Steam Traction Engines: Various scaled-down models which join the full-sized engines in their arena parades! Some were built from kits, and some were completely created from scratch.
  • Vintage Commercials: Ranging from the 1920's to 1980, the display includes lorries, buses and fire engines from a variety of manufacturers such as Dodge, Chevrolet, Bedford, Scammell and more
  • Military Vehicle Displays: Exhibits will include Land Rovers, trucks, ambulances, jeeps and occasionally tanks
  • Model Boat Pool: Visit the water-based vessels and chat to experts as you navigate your remote-controlled boat around the pool
  • Vintage Fairground: Enjoy a visit to the vintage fairground! With rides and activities to suit all ages, it's a must-see for families
  • Children's Corner: A fun area designated for children of all ages, including inflatables and bungee trampolines

Filled to the brim with things-to-do, Cheshire Steam Fair has the perfect food stalls, trade stands and more to keep you fueled up and entertained between your exciting activities. 

  • Fine Food Marquee: Filled with a wide selection of local produce for sale
  • Licensed Bar: Open for the duration of the event, the bar will double as a music venue, providing live music performances on stage on Friday and Saturday
