What to expect on your Chapel Down Guided Tour

• Tours can be booked Monday-Thursday at 12:30pm
• The tour duration is approximately 2 hours
• You will receive a behind-the-scenes tour of our winery where you will learn all about the winemaking processes, including the intricate Traditional Method of sparkling wine, and see first-hand the equipment that is used for wine production!
• The tour is followed by a tutored wine tasting of a selection of five of our award-winning sparkling and still wines.
• After the tour you are invited to stay to walk around the estate at your leisure and to visit the Winery Shop, Restaurant and Herb Garden!

Chapel Down's Viticulture

Chapel Down wines are produced from grapes grown in the South East of England. They own some of the finest vineyards in England, primarily situated on the North Downs of Kent with a terroir very similar to that of Champagne.

Their Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Bacchus vines are grown on south facing chalk soils and benefit from a warm, maritime climate. They also source high quality fruit from long-term partner vineyards across Kent, Sussex and Essex, resulting in balanced wines with unique flavour profiles!

Chapel Down have a world-class winemaking team with extensive experience in sparkling wine and cool climate wine regions. Their sparkling and still wines are made to the highest standards using the latest winemaking techniques, resulting in elegant wines with balanced acidity and rich fruit characters.
