  • The trail is stoned
  • There are a couple of steeper sections
  • Accessible toilets with ramp and handrails

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the activity, Ballyburren Outdoor Escapes do not permit dogs during the alpaca trekking.

Ballyburren Outdoor Escapes recommends the following for clothing:

  • Appropriate clothing for weather conditions
  • Trainers and/or walking shoes/boots
  • There are no muddy areas due to hard stone pathway

With any animal, there are always small risks - however, the alpacas at Ballyburren Outdoor Escapes are extremely friendly.

To ensure safety and wellbeing of all visitors, Ballyburren Outdoor Escapes requests that you don't walk directly behind the alpacas in case they kick.

They also do not allow any under 12's to hold the lead of an alpaca.
