What else is on at AK Wildlife Cruises?

Embark on a pioneering five-hour whale watching and marine survey cruise - new exclusively for 2025!

AK Wildlife Cruises is proud to present this exciting five-hour whale watching and marine survey cruise which will take you far offshore into the outer Falmouth Bay, specifically searching for baleen whales, the largest animals in the world!

Highlights of the Whale Cruise:

  • Falmouth is fortunate to have resident minke whales year-round, fin whales from March to September, and humpback whales visiting from February to May.
  • These unique pelagic cruises offer an unprecedented opportunity to experience these gentle giants, with a passionate and knowledgeable crew providing informative commentary throughout the journey.
  • You will be joined on the Research Vessel “Spirit of Our Seas” by a team of professional Marine Mammal Observers, who will conduct effort-based scientific surveys to determine large whale occurrence in the Outer Bay. The data collected will be shared with NGOs and conservation groups to aid in the protection of these majestic creatures, how cool!
  • While the primary focus is on large baleen whales, venturing offshore also opens up the possibility of encountering other cetaceans, such as bottlenose dolphins, white-beaked dolphins, long-finned pilot whales, and more!
  • During the summer months, there is also a chance to see beautiful pelagic seabirds, including Balearic shearwaters, storm petrels, puffins, and divers.

Please note that while specific wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed, the sheer abundance of marine life in Falmouth Bay promises an incredible experience. Be prepared to capture awe-inspiring moments and create lasting memories.
