Abergavenny Food Festival takes place over the third weekend of September and is one of the most high profile events in the UK’s culinary calendar. Enjoy a day of great shopping, amazing eats, live music, and a chance to meet special Festival guests.
Guests this year include Olly Smith, Felicity Cloake and Jane Rakison. More names to be announced soon.

*Please note the Castle venue is open until 5.00pm on Saturday with last entry at 4.30pm. This is to allow time to prepare for an evening event.

- Children's cookery sessions with Cook Stars - this is free. Limited spaces available on the day on a first-come first-served basis

How to collect your wristbands
On the day of your visit to Abergavenny Food Festival, you'll need to collect your wristbands by showing your eTicket/s.
Wristbands for Love To Visit customers can be collected from the main ticket pick-up point in Lion Street.
We will send you an e.mail with a Festival map prior to the event which will show you where to go.
How to find us
The Festival venues are all close together in the centre of Abergavenny town.
By Bus:
The bus station is a five minute-walk from the Festival venues which are all situated in the town centre.
Abergavenny is a small town with limited parking and so we encourage our visitors to use public transport or car share when possible. Find information on getting here below:
By Rail:
Abergavenny is served by frequent train services. From the station it is a five to ten minute relatively level walk to the Festival. Check train schedules at Trainline or National Rail
By Coach: Regular long-distance services to Newport and train or bus links from there.
By Car:
Please use the postcode NP7 5HD for the town centre.
Parking:
Castle Meadows Festival Car Park: Run by local community organisations as a fundraiser for Friends of Castle Meadows and local sports clubs.
Type: Field. Capacity: 2,000 cars. Price: £5 per car for the day – payable at point of entry. Cash only. Postcode: NP7 5DG
The car park is accessed from Merthyr Road, which is a 2-3 minute drive from the A465. There is pavement all the way to the Festival which is roughly a 6-10 minute walk uphill.
Opening hours: 9.00am to 6.30pm Saturday (gates locked at 6.30pm) 9am to 5.30pm Sunday (gates locked at 5.30pm). Strictly no overnight parking. Last entry to car park: Saturday: 4.30pm, Sunday: 3.30pm.

With the exception of assistance dogs, no dogs are allowed in any of the internal or external market venues.
Abergavenny Food Festival was founded in 1999 and is a long-established leading event in the UK's culinary calendar.
The Festival has six venues with different entry points. A wristband allows you to go into any of these as often as you like.
The Abergavenny Food Festival does not accept any liability for any ticket, or wristband purchases (“Tickets”) made via this website save as set out in these terms and our ‘Ticket sales terms & conditions’. No tickets may be used for competitions or promotions without written permission from Abergavenny Food Festival. Day Stroller Tickets (wristbands) are non-refundable.
As a result of entry onto Festival sites all visitors consent to the following:
- No admission onto Festival sites without a wristband or ticket
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult and wear a complimentary wristband at all times
- Photo ID regarding the age of children or adults attending may be requested at the box office
- Vehicles are left at your own risk
- The Festival line-up and layout is subject to change
- Main market venues are fully accessible to wheelchair users and mobility scooters
- Please be aware that there are some uneven surfaces and that the Festival can be crowded
- No animals will be admitted to the site other than assisdog
- Trespassing on ‘no public access’ areas or adjoining private property will result in expulsion
- No unauthorised recordings of Events. All images and sound recordings remain the property of Abergavenny Food Festival, although cameras for personal use are allowed
- Ticket holders consent to the photography, filming, sound recording as members of the audience, which may be used for promotional or commercial activities
- Ticket holders enter at their own risk
- It is against the law to smoke in enclosed spaces, please observe the signage around the Festival sites
- It is illegal to sell alcohol to or purchase alcohol for under 18s. If you appear to be under 21 you may be asked for ID
- Dangerous or drunk and disorderly behaviour will result in immediate expulsion from the site
- Rights of admission reserved, no refunds will be given to any ticket-holders who may be refused entry due to behaviour/intoxication or believed to be under the influence of illegal drugs
- Strictly no trading is allowed on Festial sites or public areas given over to the Festival without written permission from Abergavenny Food Festival
- Abergavenny Food Festival has no liability for the loss or damage of vehicles, goods or other materials belonging to guests, exhibitors and crew attending the Festival
- The organisers reserve the right to implement any restrictions/conditions deemed necessary before and during the event to ensure the safe management of the Festival site.
In order to prevent fraud and to protect both parties, you may be asked to provide additional information after your booking so that we can verify your purchase.
The Festival does not accept liability for any misrepresentations, negligence, contractual or tortuous loss of any kind suffered by you from the products, or services, or actions of any venue or area, performer, exhibitor, promoter or others.
The Festival will not be liable for any loss of enjoyment or profit nor any indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special or punitive damages.
These Terms represent the entire understanding and agreement between you and us and shall have priority over any and all prior statements, understandings or agreements whether oral or in writing.
